BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1963 in Izevsk, Ural. Graduated at Stroganoff Academy of Fine Art in Moscow. Lives and works in Toronto, Ontario.
Peter paints from a sophisticated palette strongly influenced by his favourite era of 1920’s Paris, in subject and style reminiscent of that time and place. He loads the canvas with café scenes, musicians, and busy streetscapes depicting the lifestyle and fashion of the belle epoch. He creates textures and layers with equal skill using brush or palette knife in a more cubistic than realistic style. He is a master at drawing the spectator into the scene, revealing the story layer by layer.
