BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Lodz, Poland.
Greg studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Poland and also taught at the Academy of Fine Art in Krakow before moving to Canada in 1988.
Greg was involved in the creation of several national monuments in Poland, including the Jedrusie Monument, and the September Soldiers Monument.
He now lives and works in North Vancouver, BC.
At the moment, he is predominantly involved in creating artistic ceramics, raku and cone 6 being his favorite genre. He also draws and paints using a broad range of techniques.
Greg’s preferred technique is a slab building technique. The inspiration for his birds, 'paleo' monsters and other animals comes from nature and from imagination.
Greg also works in other materials. His marble (from a quarry on Vancouver Island) sculptures Who's Got The Umbrella, were originally installed in 1992 and in May 2022 have been revamped and reinstalled.
His works can be found in public and private collections in Europe and North America.
