Born in 1950 in Trois-Rivières, Quebec.
With a swirl of colour and texture his oil paintings evoke an emotional response. The movements of his brushstrokes echo the flow of the rivers and hills so close to his heart. His images are laden with paint, transforming the flat canvas into an almost sculptural depiction of the Quebec landscape.
Since the 2010s, with some fifty years of painting experience, Boisvert remains a painter whose unique signature style is instantly recognizable. He has not succumbed to current trends in painting, and his work remains consistent and sustained. The artist remains very active and expresses himself more in large-format works. He creates within his preferred themes according to his inspirations of the moment, and although he allows himself occasional breaks, he has no intention of stopping, especially since the demand for his paintings remains strong in Canada and is spreading to Europe.
